Maine is a tuff place to live. That’s why we over build everything. Nice building man I would love to come over and play in the woods see what the best will do in person

Hey Man ! I just came across your channel , new sub: that's an awesome old skidder you built, that is a nice piece of wood you got there & it handled it pretty good, if your a wood hauler like me I have a few home made tools that help me get the job done :) use it if it breaks and we will make it a little stronger next time, hell that's the way I do it,

Nice woods truck I wouldn't mind having something like that, I see it spins as much as my small tractor does, but least you have cab with heater. I'd check on a price for adding diff-lockers, very nice video thanks for posting!!!!!!!!

Yeah I priced tractor s with heated cabs this was the cheapest option by far! I'm afraid of lockers with chains it breaks easy enough!

Hey Farmer, neet old Dodge. You might want to think about putting a cross bar of angle iron on the arch with some notches, and start using chocker chains on the logs, to avoid carrying the load on the winch spool, as they aren't good with shock loading. Also some links between the cross chains would help with side slippage in snow and mud. Best of luck and be safe in the woods.

Thanks Tom you were reading my mind! I'm thinking Canadian rings on the chains

I think you will need a good supply of axles if you go to ring chains. Also I'd get a good pair of chaps and a helmet with face shield.

Only on the back, as long as the front and rear aren't binding I think it should be okay. but yes the axles are the weak point .

@@mountainfarmer8766 I've got a similar rig with 10:00 x 20S on a Ford 250, really climbs over the stumps and rocks.

Lol yeah 2 feet a snow isn't a lot for a truck to drive through up a mountain. 😂 What are talking about?
