Thanks for your thorough discussion. Why you chose these boots is interesting.

Another excellent review, Pastor Doug! Although we have far less snow in the Deep South, we have ice & miserably cold & damp winters. Keeping feet warm & dry is an excellent preventive measure. Far too many hunters get into trouble down here, not knowing or simply ignoring the dangers of hyperthermia. Even in outdoor videos your pastoral concern & compassion shine through; tough hearts; & bring glory to God. 'Blessings, my fellow servant!

They appear fairly light in weight as well. I know some big bulky winter boots are pretty heavy, But these don't look bulky or heavy. I like them. Did you mention the price? They are sharp looking too. If your a hunter you get the rubber soul so it doesn't leave your scent all over the place. Thanks for the info Doug. Stay Safe Stay Healthy Positive and Blessed my friend. Peace Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong

On their Amazon store the boots are usually 74.99 but there is a 40% coupon at this time. I put the link in the description

👍👍👍 A good review .. thanks. Watching this, reinforces my belief that rubber boots don't get the exposure and credit that they deserve .. and this, inter alia, due to 'marketing' .. the manufacturers and sellers of the plethora of 'high tech' hiking shoes and boots out there .. without which we would not survive 😳. All keen for their slice of the outdoor 'pie' 😏. I have a set of rubber mid-calf winter boots and a whole lot of the 'other' .. trail and ankle. 'Waterproof' 🙄 and not 😏. The fancy footwear with 'Gortex' and similar membranes .. my feet still get wet .. either from outside (they WILL eventually leak .. through or over the top) or from inner perspiration. Pricing .. no contest! The Rubber Boots tend overall, to come out winners! A career in the Underground Gold Mining Industry had me wearing 'Gum Boots' approximately five hours per day, with lots of walking, climbing and clambering in the tunnels and 'stopes' (the actual gold mining workings). Properly sized,, I found the boots we used to be comfortable and capable of delivering kilometres daily without out of the ordinary foot stress .. and bearing in mind that they were robust and heavy duty in order to cope with uneven terrain, abrasive rubble and sharp quartz rock shards. The 'civilian' versions are lighter and even more comfortable. Back in the 70's (I think? .. or early 80's), I read an article in my local Backpacker Magazine named 'The Naked Hiker'. Therein ('minimalism' was beginning to raise it's head), the Writer stressed that the two most important articles of clothing for one are .. a Good Jacket and good Footwear. Similarly, any Architect worth their salt will tell you that the most important aspects of a house are the Foundations and the Roof. Not much changes .. 😊. Once again, a good Postings and I'm sure that some will derive benefit from it. Until next time then .. take care ..

Going camping in Gillette wyoming and im buying outwear for myself and by boys. My son is upset with me for wanting to return our Columbia hiking boots for boots like these. I told him exactly what you mentioned, about the possibility of getting into a situation where the water or something is higher than the ankle...even torrential rain. The Columbia boots are CUTE, but you will be miserable, wet, cold, dam, etc...
