Love how you simplified the scene. To me it looked like a complex tangle of tree trunks and branches, so I wouldn't even have attempted painting it. You've shown how it can be done, so thank you!

Just discovered your channel and like it a lot. I notice your preference for small flat brushes when I'd likely use a round for trees and branches. Will have to practice this in my sketchbook when I do studies.

Thank you, that is very kind of you to say. I try to work on the whole image as I go along, so that if I have to stop, it will at least look something like what I was trying to show.

Hello..Am curious to know the temperature. I recently did plein airs in sub zero temperatures. The problem I faced was the water was freezing on my palette as well as paper..I also mixed some alcohol, but that did not help much..How do you handle in such a situation?

Think that way back painters used to mix Gin in their water to speed up evaporation. Just saying.

How you did this without a million hot tea &cake brakes, in that freezing cold, is beyond me. You could have done it from inside a car, couldn't you? Brrrrrrrrrrrr!

Is that a strada easel?
@poppybalserart

Yes, it is a strada. Though not "made" for watercolours I find it adapts quite well. I especially like how the upper portion (that holds the painting) can go almost horizontal when needed.
