An optional step (that may or may not work, depending on certain personal factors) once I know I'm done riding for the year, I call my insurance company and remove all coverages EXCEPT for comprehensive, that way its still covered in the event of theft, fire, vandalism, ect. Saves me about $275 a month and drops my premium to $0.77 a month until springtime when I reinstate coverages. I also put a sticky note on the throttle to remind myself not to ride until I call my insurance company again 😂

My cover is from indian. Yes, I am sure I paid too much for a cover LOL... Before I put mine up I am going to wash it. Believe it or not, I have never actually washed my springfield with soap and whater. I have never used fuel stabilizer but I will this winter. Thanks for the reminder. Samsonslocks from the forum :)

Sucks to have to store them. Have a good winter and we'll be back on the roads before you know it.

I’m assuming you didn’t have problems with your battery using the 3 AMP battery tender? I checked Indian’s owners manual for the Bobber Twenty and under battery they’re recommending a 2 AMP. Apparently other amperages can cause crystals to form in the batteries and reduce the life of the battery. Is your battery OEM or have you replaced it? Everyone says OEM battery on Bobber is terrible, but probably more for people in extreme heat or people not winterizing in cold. Thank you!

I know I am going to now jinx myself as it is 2024 but this is my OEM battery and the bike is 2020 so 4 years on the stock battery and I think I'm one of the lucky ones. During the spring, summer, and fall it is rarely, if ever, on a tender as I'm riding it as much as I can. In the winter, I do the process in this video and everything is ready to go in the spring. Never had an issue with any of them using the tenders I have.
