Brother Wynton, you have surpassed yourself. I speak as an Afrikan elder from Nigeria who is a deep jazz lover. From the the start, with the invocation of the ancestral spirit.... to the way you move like a high priest. Woow, I can't stop listening and dancing, and I know that you and I are not alone... the ancestral spirit are celebrating with us! The score.... the entire piece.... I salute every member of the band; the alagba from the continent, mo kin yin. All of you are lit! I salute you my brother Wynton. A dá fun é. Asé

Back in early 80s, I had pleasure of seen him trios with his father playing piano, Jason on double base in Blues Alley in Washington DC. Back then Blues Alley was already famous but still one of the DCs local club, we were able to listen to the many fantastic musicians, over just cup of coffee, onion soup and t-shirts in late night sessions. I listen to him many times, couple of times quartets w/Branford,they were playing only few feet in front of me, almost could hear his breathe, see his finger moves, best of all their eyes talking to each other. What a great times. Ps. At one Halloween night, Stan Getz had fox tail on his butt.

*Wynton Marsalis, Not Winton Marsalis. If you liked(ed)him so much why'd you spell their name wrong? Even the Publisher spelt their name wrong.
