I always ask myself "can I live with these mistakes" when I run into an issue with my crafts and proceed accordingly, even if it means starting over. (Which I have done countless times.) haha Another idea for videos, tips for us not so tech savvy people. My latest gadget that I love and recommend to every-body , is a robo vacuum. Oh my, how did I ever get by without it! ( I vacuumed twice a week before I bought one.) Great on all my floors! I have the Stanwood ball winder and love it, it winds thin or thicker yarns beautifully. (price wise it falls mid range.) It's always a pleasure to visit, and you always have great tips and inspirational content. Thanks Margaret, and have a blessed day!

I have a robo vacuum, too! I need more of those boundary laser things though. I only have 1 so I have to lay down a broom or something to keep it in boundaries! Ha! And I've heard of the Stanwood ball winder but I mistakenly thought that was a fancy-schmancy one! If this one poops out on me, I'll have to look into that one. Thanks for the helpful info as always, Dixie!

Great video Margaret! I don't have a ball winder but might look up the one you have. I Love This Yarn is exclusive to Hobby Lobby....I really like this brand. Your new computer is awesome and so glad you are having lots of fun with it. Can't wait for the photofast tutorial. By the way I'm working on the Lemon Peel hat.....it's in progress and I'm having fun with it. Great health tips. I like to walk and just recently bought walking poles and it's taking some time to get use to them. I also do tai chi. The antique lamp looks great! I'm sure we had a similar one when I was young. Definitely prayers for Sister Mary Margaret......she sounds like a feisty lady! One request.....if it's worth it.....I just found out that there are tapered crochet hooks and inline crochet hooks. I never knew! Would you maybe talk about them in a video? I'm going to look through all mine to see what I have. Thank you for sharing this video with us!

I had to laugh because I have been helping my 6 yr old grandson in school on line 5 days a week since his mom is now working from home. I have to go upstairs 2 to 3 times a day for his classes also my sons house bathroom is up stairs. This Grandma is POPPED out. I even counted the steps 15 steps up 15 steps down. 5 to 6 times a day! At 6 times it is 90 steps a day. No wonder I am soooo tired. I am on a diet. I know long story. But you helped me out❤

I am so impressed with your wealth of knowledge! Gosh I need to snap down and to it. Lol I am a disabled nurse who has been in my livingroom for 14+yrs in a hospital bed. Oct 13,2020 I had my 142nd surgery on my legs. If I'm out of the bed then I'm in a wheelchair. I miss work so much but not being able to walk has dampened my ability to lose weight. I use to love to walk and I loved to work but God has different plans for me. If I did not have my crochet then I would be super nutty. Thanks for inspiring me Hugs charlene CHARLENE CROCHET CORNER
@sheepishlysharing
3 жыл бұрын
Oh, my, Charlene! You've really been through the ringer! If you need inspiration, I need to introduce you to Sister Margaret Mary! She's been severely visually impaired since birth but has never let it slow her down! She taught music for years, volunteered at nursing home and basically ran circles around me until this cancer entered her life. She crochets beautifully with a modified technique and learned to paint during chemo! Like I said in this video... the MIND is far more powerful than the body! Btw, I don't use the term "disabled" any longer. I like "differently-abled" instead. And there's no reason why an inability to walk should affect your ability to lose weight! Simply think DIFFERENTLY! 1) Adapt your diet. There's an expression in fitness that "abs are made in the kitchen." Meaning it's far more important to change our diet. If we don't, we can do ab exercises all day and still not see a six pack because of the fat layer. 2) Search KZitem for wheelchair workouts! There are plenty - all different levels, too! Celebrate what you CAN do and let that be your motivation! There are plenty of things you can't control but there are plenty of things you CAN! I'll be your cheerleader!

@@sheepishlysharing oh Margaret you are such a inspiration. And as a matter of fact I have cut out daytime snacking and I did lose 15 pounds in the six weeks between my Dr visit where I weigh on the same scales. I am trying to cut out eating in middle of night. Some nights I dont sleep at all some night 2 to 3 hrs are all. Those days where I'm up more than 24 hrs get long. I did not realize that wheelchair exercises existed. If and when my leg wound heals I will be going to the Y for water aerobics. I'm very excited about that because in the summer my parents have a pool just 10 minutes away from me that I can go there and do the water exercises. If covid is under control. I have not been to my folks house since march. They wont allow it. It bums me out but the are quarantined until they get there vaccine. So there are lots of reasons this covid has just been a pain in my big old buttock less buttock. Both of my buttocks were removed along with the glutes maximus muscles. I forgot to tell you many muscles have been removed during these surgeries. But I am now DIFFERENTLY ABLE! I do like that term. Thank you for reaching out to me. Oh and I forgot to share with you I am also a lip reader which covid has put a big difficulty on that. So I am getting hearing aids which is a huge expense of $5900.00 and $1200.00 on the cost of a new phone to be able to control the hearing aids. I'm 56 and way to young for all this. But God has a plan for me because my family has been called in to to many times saying this leg INFECTION was to much this time. I would go in for surgery and not be took off the ventilator for up to 3 weeks later. But I made it. I am also a breast cancer survivor of 15 yrs when the drs told me I had a 10 yr life expectancy. I also had both breast removed with no reconstruction. And 2 weeks after masectomy I had to have open heart surgery for a septic port in my chest for chemo. Yes mam its is true they split your chest with a Sears craftsman saw blade thade cost $ 4.00 15 yrs ago. Well enough enough about me!! I do have lots of blessings in my life. I have 2 grown children. And I have 4 BEAUTIFUL SMART & LOVING GRANDCHILDREN. AGES 11,10,9,& 7 IN MAY. Oh they make life worth fighting for. I have 3 grand dogs and 1 grand kitty. One of my grand dogs is a 9 week old german Shepherd puppy. Oh he is precious. If my daughter leaves his site he screams like he is being murdered. That's how my Grands describe it. So I have took to much of your reading time. Hugs, charlene

My goodness... you really have had more than your share of trials and tribulations but it sounds like you have a great support system! (Hey, you can enlist those guys to help in your weight loss/fitness!) I'll circle back and repeat my own philosophy which is weight/fitness is something totally within my control. So many of the things you've had to endure were beyond your control. Isn't it nice to know you have control over THIS which in turn is beneficial to cancer and heart disease risk reduction? You strike me as a go-getter so there's no doubt in my mind you can do this if you're willing! (BTW, extra weight and lack of sleep are totally interrelated: www.sleepfoundation.org/physical-health/obesity-and-sleep and since you're a nurse, you may want to read the more science-y version: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3632337/ )
