I've had lots of requests for a Tree of Life tutorial in wirework for absolute beginners, so here you are!
I hope you enjoy it.
You can use a ready made frame or create your own (almost any shape) frame from 1mm, 1.25mm or even 1.5mm gauge wire.
Ideally 0.4mm gauge wire for creating the trunk and branches of the tree itself, but you can scale up to 0.5mm or 0.6mm or down to 0.25mm, as long as your bead drill holes work with your chosen wire.
Obviously if you're using smaller beads and extra fine wire (0.25mm) you may like to consider adding a greater number of strands, unless you would like a particularly wispy tree!
Chip and nugget beads work really well in this design as they add texture and can nicely replicate leaves.
Any questions or request, please drop a comment below.
If you like the tutorial, please do subscribe and and keep an eye out over on Facebook for my regular fortnightly Facebook Live Events.
