Bought this album from a record shop in London in 73' while visiting England. I was 15. I CANNOT get enough of this entire performance. It gets me every time. I literally listen to it everyday. It just fills me with joy in every aspect.

Steve Upton is underrated as the drummer that contributed so much to their early sound - the changes of pace, the light and shade, the feeling of power in reserve, dramatic fills etc

Totally agree -my favourite Wishbone Ash track as well. Whole album is excellent. 'This is the moment' - it certainly is - still have great excitement and anticipation everything I listen to it even now. The bass is like another lead instrument in itself.

I was a teenager in the early 90's and loved metal and "grunge" (whatever that means?) . My friend's father turned a bunch of my mates and I on to these guys and a whole host of 70's rock. We were living in a rural Irish town with a lake and forest park attached. Getting pissed and stoned at the shore and up in the trees with our terrible little stereos and cassettes. I remember feeling cheated that I'd been born too late. This still gives me chills every time, and reminds me far more than Nirvana, of being young.

You know he's a rare bass player when you listen to his bass solo on the first album called Handy. It's as if the bass is telling a story in its own musical language. I don't know how else to say it really.

I've never known how the hell Martin Turner can play the bass like that and sing over the top. He must have two processors in his brain box - yes, it's just as good live!!

I agree this is total EPIC song. I also like PHOENIX - especially the first live version (although any version is good for different reasons). you probably know it - but it would be nice to review it too. Nice video !

classic tune, something is wrong with the audio on that version though, the pitch is incorrect and sounds very wobbly.
