The way I see it, the devs had a couple options here. They could of simply prevented the player from going to Skellige or Novigrad with invisible walls, unable to travel, etc (easiest option). They could of prevented you from interacting with the characters involved in the main quest. Or they could of had scenes where the other characters just hand feed you the info you should of known with minimal changes. Instead, they recorded voice lines, animated characters, and hell even put an entirely new quest in (in this instance). They clearly knew that some tosser was going to come along and try their hardest to bugger everything up, and as someone who DM'd D&D and other tabletop RPGs for years, with players who tried their hardest to avoid whatever main quest I threw at them, I have mad respect for these devs for accounting for all of this.

Ikr! is insane! if you do things outside the "common logic" in Fallout new vegas (you kill the npc, or something happen) you magically find a holotape, letter or key that fill the gaps and let you advance the quest if you loot the house or the corpse bc yes! what's better than having a big secret written on a paper that you carry with you in your pockets? xdd. Mad respects like you said
@echo.1209

i guess it was less of them thinking "someone is going to mess this up", and more of them thinking "we want players to do things in the order they'd like". there's literally no reason for the "pyres of novigrad" and "destination: skellige" quests to be available to the player unless they intended for the player to have a choice.
@Frendlu
2 жыл бұрын
The thing was that at normal playtrought, going fisrt to Skelligre with shitty level+shitty equipment + no relatable build + few potions/oils was a suicide. That its a hidden barrier that prevented to going there, unless you had a witcher gear and a good build and that it's only posible at NG (o just playing at the most easy difficulty). Also, remenber that you need to collect 1000 crowns to buy the passage to skelligre, and this, at the beggining, lv 1, it's imposible and only at level 8, you start making more money and for that, maybe its better to buy others things more important like ingredients or "buying the griffin set" to have better gear (and later, choose the set that suit you). So, the game itself prevented that you can go underleveled, with a normal playtrought, to Skelligre.

How effortlessly this game moulds into something else as the player makes different decisions in-game is beyond belief. You can literally decide to not play the first core 20% of the game, and it will adapt to it then play out beautifully. If this were ANY OTHER game it would be static and unchanging, forcing the player to progress through a single chain of events that no matter what will never provide new experience for the player. The Witcher 3 has so much love, effort, and tears put into the game, there are more than 500 different outcomes after and during the game that makes it a new experience each time you play it. #Witcher4

I’m honestly suprised this is his first video. With Most creators u can see the change in quality from their recent to their earlier videos, but this one is still really well made.

Hey Neon. Im not done watching this video yet and unfortunately i have to stop (im currently replaying TW3 after completing it twice years ago, but i dont remember a lot and i want it to stay that way :D), but i did watch some others on Keira's lamp, White Orchard secret, Netflix series, and large chunk of this one... If you're not lying to us, and this is indeed the first proper, real video you have ever made, then, WOW. You are insane man. The quality, the editing, the on point observations and comments. You are better, more precise and put more effort into your content than many channels with the Golden/Diamond YT plaque. And you keep this amazing quality and level up across everything i've seen so far. No wonder you grew so fast (however i still think 138k subs for 2 years is way below what you deserve and should have). Keep the amazing work up, you got my sub straight away, and I will watch anything unrelated to TW3 on your channel in a binge now, while making my desktop background a huge text reminder to watch everything else as soon as im done with the game XD

Pretty funny, i recognized your voice instantly because i watched your battlefront videos sometimes. Nice to see you're a Witcher nerd aswell!

This type of playthrough is ALMOST how the any% speedrun is currently routed lmao. Sadly not identical as we do the Barons quest until after we speak to Voytek but after that we do pretty much all of Novigrad's quests (just before that heading to Skellige to set up signposts and such there), after that heading back to Velen to tie up Keira's & The Crones main quests before saving Dandelion and then finally do the Skellige quests which allows us to collect Uma from the Baron which in turn ties up Ciri's Stories completing the Act 1. Absolutely amazing video and can't wait for more from you!

Yo dude I swear I’ve seen easily 3 of your channels. First one was a hella long time ago with your zombies channel. Then about a year or more ago with your battlefront video. Now it’s a Witcher video holy shit dude you always come up when I play these games.

ha yes... maybe I need to stick to one thing. I also am part of the channel Yesterworld Entertainment. This Witcher thing really feels like my calling, I may jump ship and make this my focus if it continues to go well.

Congratulations on your first video doing so well! I hope this KZitem thing is something that really works out for you! Authenticity is key. Also, fun fact, I've never made it past the Baron quest line. I like the *idea* of playing Witcher 3, but for some reason in practice I just can't stay interested in it. Idk, that's just me.

This is great. You really did a great job showing these changes. I wonder if the devs have been waiting to see someone find this out.

I love how the intro is like "I'm just speaking into the void.." but look where you are 2 years later. Amazing! Thanks for the vid :)

I really enjoyed this, thanks for the upload! Also, I was literally shocked when the Baron offed himself in this quest. I just sat in front of my screen in silence. I liked the Baron and was hoping he would turn it around after helping him.

This game is one of the most memorable for me….inspired me to read all the novels too. I haven’t t been back to it in years, not sure why, maybe I want to preserve the experience. These videos just make an already impressive game more outstanding….it’s aged like a fine wine too.
