@@hygher true. Read a fantastic article once about how the German army with a little help from Opal (part of GM). Refurbished all those lovely GM (Bedford) trucks and sent them off to Russia the next year

@@timwebster8122 Yeah they also used Matildas in North Africa and German soldiers were supplied with British rations and Medical equipment

Often overlooked but the British armed forces failed just as spectacularly as the French did in the 1940 Fall of France, except the Brits had an island to fall back to lol. They just as fool hardily rushed into Belgium to meet the Wehrmacht. 😷

Difference is Britain had 200,000 men, under French command. And France had 6 million. Just as Spectacularly my arse.

@@reglissjordan You're wrong. The French had about 2.3M men on the German border. And the British had about 400 - 500k. And remember this, the British we're under incompetent French command.

The retreating BEF had to be rescued by civilians at Dunkirk. I can't imagine anything more embarrassing than that for a soldier.
