I brought these lights today. There amazing. Can satisfy my every mood sitting on my sofa or laying in bed. A must buy. Very easy to set up too, my 10 years old son set them up.

I bought the Wiz bulbs, and I am impressed. I have presently connected 4 rooms of table and floor lamps. Some of my lamps are 50 years young. They all have connected, and work. They run way cooler than incandescent. Home Depot in Langley BC had them on sale. The wattage is lower than on the Philips Hue. I think this is why they work in my older lamps.

I bought 2 of them recently to try them out, and although I like the different pre-installed light moods I'm still a bit undecided. What I really miss as an option is to set that the lights follow automatically the sunset/sunrise according to the seasonal daylength of my geographical location. Now I need to adjust the time every week. I have a smart plug from another brand that does provide this option, but I prefer to have it with these light bulbs as well.

Is this brighter than Phillips hue?
@getconnectednow

They are made by Philips and should be comparable and appear that way in real life. Philips requires their Hue Hub while the Wiz works right over WiFi.

Yes they are. I owned HUE lights and the Wiz Lights feel much richer in color and brighter. The A21 100W wiz bulb is SUPER bright. I use that for my outdoor lights. I kept trying to find a reason to justify being the HUE and I couldn't. I've recently moved and now switched over to all Wiz and did it for like 20% of what it would cost for HUE. With the HUE app I kept fighting with the remote access of my lights. I would configure it, and then lose connection. It almost never woirked remotely. Wiz just works. I'm probably going to put my HUE lights on ebay.

Don’t worry about buying one brand. If you make sure they are google or Amazon comparable you can migrate them into that app. Then you can seamlessly controls all of them together. Never put all of your eggs in one basket

We would agree with that for the most part. Though when you have to update firmware across a number of same/similar devices it's quite a bit easier to execute that through one app. As you can imagine, if you had bulbs from 10 manufacturers in your home, it might take a bit of work to get them to all pull their updates separately. This is something, at least for the time being, cannot be done natively through any of the smart assistants.

@@getconnectednow that is a fair response however for the different devices I have set up among my home a majority are set to auto update the firmware

The biggest down side to these bulbs is the app. Its NOT intuitive at all. You will have a hard time controlling the lights, whether its turning them on and off or trying to sync them together. Lots of dead ends in the app. There is no drag and drop like you think there should be!

Can you provide me a picture of the barcode of the Wiz Bluetooth&WiFi LED GU10 Bulb? Do you know where I can buy it in the USA? Thanks a lot

Maybe I'm missing something, but my motion sensors doesn't let me set time schedules for the connected lights to them.
@getconnectednow
3 жыл бұрын
You would usually set the schedule on the bulbs or groups of bulbs you setup. Not the motion sensor. Has support been able to help further?
@AntonioCunningham
3 жыл бұрын
@@getconnectednow I could either set schedule for the lights or tie the Motion detector to the lights. Since I couldn't do both, I disabled the Motion sensors. (I didn't want them triggering lights during the day when the lights wasn't needed) Wiz help isn't helpful at all.
@getconnectednow

@@AntonioCunningham That doesn't sound like a great experience. We know that the Philips Hue motion detector has a setting in-app to allow you to set it to not be as sensitive in visible light. If there's some way to set that it would definitely limit its operation during the day like with the Hue one. Sorry, we can't be more help on the Wiz specifically.

@@getconnectednow I'm looking for this scheduling now and don't see it anywhere. It seems pointless for the light to come on during the day. Under "Light Setting" on the WIZ App, there are these settings: -- Model: A19 Daylight -- Name: A19 Daylight -- Icon: -- Brand: Philips Room: Entrance On fade-in: 0.00s On fade-out: 5.00s There is a *"Schedules"* menu item that gives me the option to create an Action. But how do I use this to only let my motion activation turn "ON" between 6PM - 6AM ??
