Great idea to control the brightness with a potentiometer. I just didn't understand much from the video if you did it, but you have my admiration.

I am struggling a lot to connect PIR Sensor with WLED. I just want to turn on Led with Sensor and then turn off. Went through your video and WLED instructions but I am new to all this and cannot figure out. Could you please make a video for PIR sensor wiring with ESP8266 and connect with Wled.

Thanks so much, giot a push button and the pot working on esp8266. I can't seem to have two pots working but that's fine. The PB (push button) switches on and off and long press changes colours. Pot adjusts brightness.

Maybe I got some better/easier solution for most people without the need of using MQTT, if you just want to use your PIR as a toggle switch for turning on and off your lights. For example: Create preset with ID 99 and API command: &NN Create preset with ID 1 and API command: T=2 In Config > LED Preferences, choose your button and GPIO and set it to PIR sensor. My Config: Button 1 GPIO: 34 PIR sensor In Config > Time & Macros, set your button short to 99, long to 1 and leave double to 0 My Config: Button 1, 99, 1, 0 That's it, now your lights turn on by motion and off by next motion, vice versa. Nevertheless - great job DrZzs & GrZzs :-)

I had an idea for these controls. I have some of those old TV source changing switvhes (unpowered). Using one of those we could point controls at different LED systems.

Good afternoon! Is it possible to use an encoder with a button? For example, by default, the knob adjusts the brightness, when you press the encoder, the presets are switched, another press adjusts the speed of the effects ...

frog didn't mention that if PIR is set up and push button is implemented , you can't disable the PIR action, as a result it makes no sense to have ON / OFF button with the PIR

I would think that WLED should merge into ESPHOME project, as it seems that the last one better fits the task how to assign an action for a button press, and it already has MQTT and HomeAssistant integration.

Both the espHome project and the wLED projects nearly fill the memory of an esp chip. There simply is not the space to add a big block of code to either of them.

I, as a total noob in any field that esp32 and leds touch, started a project (old Phone with as a rgb led lamp but trying to use the original 12 (or 10) Buttons + on off and a potentiometer for dimming) but i cannot fine any way to add that many Buttons. Is it the Max for an esp32 4 buttons? Isn't? Any way around it? I don't know, an expander?

How can I use a time of light sensor with WLED. If you use presence sensor it can detect out of the range you want it. For example if you walk next to the stairs it can trigger the led. I would like to add a time of light sensor to trigger when the distance is less than the width of the stairs. By doing this the light will only trigger when you step on the first stair. If you could let me know would be amazing Thank you

If I am using one GPIO pin for a set of strip lights lets say with a preset of "candy cane". Is there a way to trigger a different preset with a motion or button press to activate for a 20 seconds and then go back to its original setting/preset?

Hello. I am interested in making a button force a certain color. Every time the button is pushed, it lights a color and over rides the current state…. Release the button and it goes back to current state. Does anyone know if this is possible?
@DrZzs
Жыл бұрын
I believe you can do that with the Button settings. In WLED under LED Preferences you can set different GPIO pins as buttons. Then in the Macros page you can set what function occurs when each button is pressed. May take a little trial and error but I'm sure that's the way to do what you're looking for.
