Many people don’t understand what sentient animals are. They have the capacity to experience positive and negative emotions such as pleasure pain fear joy sadness and depression and distress that matter to them. They also learn remember respond and obey. Some say they don’t have a conscience but I don’t 3:11 agree. Many animals respond in ways that appear to apologize. They learn to trust or not. Just love them and give them the benefit of the doubt and they will show you what they can do.❤❤❤❤❤

Yep. Our cat escaped from a neighbor's house - repeatedly - and always ended up at our house. The neighbors seemed completely unbothered and were quite willing to let him come live with us. I was puzzled because who pays $2K for a cat and then just gives it away? Well, it didn't take long for me to figure out why. He's quite a handful! Very demanding, bitey, and insistent. And smart. My life would be a lot easier if he'd never learned how to open doors.

I think it’s problematic when people breed animals like this. Most people are not gonna be able to handle something that’s partially wild. I even had a domesticated Russian blue that would try to ambush me on the stairs, and I had to rehome her. She had to be in a house with lots of children and constant attention and activities, or she would literally be destructive.

So happy for beautiful George! It’s so SAD and shameful that these babies get put down simply because they weren’t socialized correctly by people! AND simply because of thee breed! Please don’t give up on your pets!! They are intelligent, emotional and loving little souls! I’m so sorry this poor boy had to go through 4 homes. That alone is traumatic! @KittyBoom360

@@parisinthe30sx Your cat had cystitis and was peeing blood, and so you gave him Prozac? That doesn't make any sense. If your cat is doing better now and no longer peeing blood, it's not because of the Prozac. And if his behavior is better now, it's because he's no longer ill from whatever was causing the symptom of cystitis and peeing blood and not because of the Prozac. He probably just healed on his own regardless of your misguided efforts or whatever toxins you were feeding him. And, yeah, I don't understand. I don't understand why parents would give their kids/pets Prozac. It's like giving them sleeping pills to make them fall asleep instead of solving the problem of why they are having trouble sleeping. You're just numbing them, dulling their life, while turning them into addicts, perhaps even making them more psychotic (as Prozac use is positively related to crime rates), instead of helping them deal with any issues. Stop drugging your pets/children and try taking a more proactive approach to improving their lives.

I know.” He is clearly very attached to her & she is also VERY good at reading him. 🥰 These 2 are actually the perfect match for one another! She is indeed VERY skilled at managing challenging & complex animal behaviours. I have a Behavioural Science degree & would quite confidently say that she is doing pretty much everything right. 👌 In fact, the terminology she uses seems to suggests 1 of 3 things. Either she has a similar background herself; or she has extensively researched Animal Behaviouralism; or alternatively, she is just highly intuitive, with an uncanny ability to read behaviour; or perhaps even all of the above. Overall, excellent job. You are a good example of how to manage challenging behaviours. Well done. 👍

LOL we adopted what everyone thought was a beautiful little tiny blue/grey tabby kitten. He was the only survivor out in a culvert by a busy freeway on a cold snowy winters day . He was obviously feral but anything else was unknown . He had digestive issues and gastrointestinal issues. He was the sweetest little kitten. Our beautiful cat had died at 14yrs of age from thyroid cancer and we were desperate to find the right kitty. I took one look at the tiny ball of fluff so terrified in the cage. I asked to pick him up .I reached in and he recoiled and hissed. I placed my hand on him and began to pet him. I picked him up. He immediately snuggled into my down coat. I bent over and kissed the top of his tiny head and whispered “I love you” He tilted his little head up and kissed my nose . From that moment on he has been my kitty. His name is Beau the masculine of Bella who was our kitty. We have discovered from our vet that Beau is in fact a blue Bengal hybrid with a tabby. He is not a year old and he is approximately 17 Ilbs . He is probably about F5 Bengal so he has both tabby and Bengal characteristics. He doesn’t shed much and he has the sparkle coat. He trills chirps and barks. He has a Bengal build but his only spots are on his tummy. You have a Bengal who is probably an F4 but wasn’t fortunate to get an understanding home as a baby. You are on the right track but you have some work. We will start leash training Beau very soon . IF you decide to do this you must have a very secure halter and leash . Goodluck Love from Beau and family ❤❤❤❤

Hi Janice! I’m from Melbourne Australia. I’ve only been a Cat mamma about 12 months. When we got our second Cat Rocket it started out as a disaster. The poor darling was a stray who had to have her rear right leg amputated. They think she accidentally was hung from something because the joint was so badly damaged. Olly our resident Cat was so kind and patient with her but she went after him every chance she got. I watched every video I could on introducing cats and started again. Kept them separate and let them interact only behind a barrier. (That had to go floor to ceiling in the doorway or she would just go over it to attack him) In hindsight I think because she was missing the leg, she was half the size, and she was new, she felt she needed to get on top from the outset. But with us, she literally will sleep under the covers. I heard about that Feliway Friends you mentioned in your comment and wow! What a game changer! One week after having it I noticed a difference in her behaviour. She was tolerating him coming up to the gate. A few days after that they started trilling to each other. Then I would play with a toy with them so they started touching paws. Then I started feeding them at the gate. Two weeks later I took the gate away. At 3 weeks I took the Feliway away and now they just love each other to pieces! I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t tried it myself. But all the reviews I read were positive. They also offered a money back guarantee! So I was happy to pay the $120.00 AUD even if it helped a little bit! Just thought I’d second your comment, as it’s really a fantastic product. My cousin used it as well when she got her Bengal. As he was giving her ragdoll a bit of trouble. I suggested she try it. ‘‘Twas a game changer for her house as well. Much love to you and your kitties. ❤🇦🇺
