"Woman" is a gender role in society. She's blatantly taking the woman gender role because we only have two of them and it's clearly not being a man, so... there is no "queer" gender role because it's non-defined, there is no definition for it sociologically, there's no rules on how to behave towards it, no established way to act. ...However, the act of insisting that you be treated a specific way without defining what that way is in advance, is actually part of the "woman" gender role as society has established it, so really they're all women by that standard, regardless of any other factor.

So then I later go to the same designer brick and mortar store to look at the new season's selection in-person; this sales assistant notices my bag and immediately comments that it does come with a cross-body strap. I confirm; yes, it did arrive with the cross body strap. She then proceeds to keep following me, asking questions again and again about specific details about the bag, circling back around again and again to mentioning it can be carried this other way, instead of by the handles. Eventually she mutters something about how "it's interesting yours does not have the brand logo on the front and that you aren't wearing it cross-body, with the strap it should have come with." At that point I flip the bag around to show it does have the logo; I'm just intentionally wearing it backwards. She acted completely surprised and back off. The point of this story is that there's a type of person in the world that is strangely intrusive; The non-binary human female is upset she can't dictate how their husband identifies. The sales associate didn't like that I wore her company's product in a way that does not fit their current marketing campaign; to the point she felt the need to find an "answer" to why I didn't fit her mold the way she expected/wanted that product to be worn. The non-binary person can't handle that their "non-conforming" identity doesn't extend into a "conventionally" queer marriage; they are mad that their husband being cis makes their marriage "non-conforming" from the queer perspective; they expect/want to live their life in a very ridged way and are upset that it's not lining up. I don't want to call this person a "Karen" because I feel like Karen is an other, more specific behavior centered on entitlement. This is about have fixed perspectives and then not being able to accept alternative view points, to the degree it is upsetting. What is that called?

@@okcognito2124 This is a reasonable guess, and at first when I walked out I thought the same for a half-minute, but what I was carrying was an online-exclusive that she herself mentioned was exclusive to the online store. Also I never touched the handbags in that store; I was only looking at clothing items. If I hadn't needed to buy things that day for Christmas, I would have just walked out by the second or third insinuation that I wasn't wearing the product correctly. Again; my point was that if something that exists can be worn, expressed or whatever in multiple ways; there seems to be a certain kind of person that wants everyone to conform into using/living a certain way. The sales assistant decided that because I wore it in one of the two way you can (Again, heavily advertised as being a "two-way" bag) and not the other, that that wasn't "okay".

Male and Female is a more relevant distinction. I definitely understand why certain individuals dislike the delineation of like terms(female/woman, male/man), and how that can potentially interact in harmful ways regarding society or development of gender dysphoric individuals. Changing language...changes how people think, and how society functions. One should atleast attempt to understand that linguistics argument though...because the rhetoric and whatever is getting very polarizing (in my opinion).

11:42 what we're seeing here is that this woman has figured out (or at least butted up against the fact) that our identities are largely based on our relationships to other people. this is another mark against self ID, as we can see this woman is angry because she views herself in a way that does not map on to reality, is not true, but her husband does not view himself in a similarly untrue way. this indicates that he does not see her in the same way that she sees herself, and thus, that he does not believe her self-identity to be valid.

I think I've mentioned this here, but in my early college days, I got confused for a girl twice while working door-to-door. The big one was an elderly lady who spoke to me for a while about how things were, and as we were wrapping up she said "it's lovely to see a young lady like you working." It's not like my voice is super feminine or anything, though I was very skinny and had semi-long hair back then. I laugh about this to this day because I straight up told her that "ma'am, um... I'm a guy", and she went wide-eyed and said "no!" Wasn't sure what to say at that point, but then suddenly she put a hand on my chest, squeezed, then said "oh! Well then!" Then she gave me a dollar and sent me on my way. One of the funniest experiences I've had going door to door.

seeing that last clip about "non-binary" and queerness It would be interesting If you made a video on the topic on the concept of Gender itself and how in recent times it has morphed into this nightmarish maze of identities that has consumed mundane aspects of subcultures and interests to form gender signifiers and gender identities of themselves. Related similar to your "Link the twink" video and the perplexing rigid gender structures in "queer" circles that formed out of this mutation of Gender identity .Where if a guy does something that might be considered feminine or even just not very masculine that he is in some way "queer" or "Gender non conforming" as opposed to just having a more broader and open view as to what is permissible to do/behave as a man.

It's pretty much used as a tool to a language game that is setting up a mental obstacle course that while everyone is caught up trying to navigate to realise the end is never actually designed to be obtainable. it's trying to bend the nature of the entire spaces to the will of these lunatics for you to be pushed out of at their pleasure. The only real way to combat this is to stop them before they take root or to use their own system to drive them into breaking their own rules while shutting out any attempts to claim special treatment. However, the latter is usually done by those who are even worse than the people that previously created the rules that then take over. Becoming more and more paranoid with each cycle this happens to.

It's the obvious, inevitable, result of Feminism. First, they told women they were oppressed and that they should act like men. Then they told men that they were oppressors and that they should act like women. Now nobody knows what they should do, and even if they figure it out they'll be criticized and maybe even cancelled by the radical Feminist thought that permeates our institutions. The people talking about gender think that they can avoid oppression by picking the right side, instead of standing up for themselves and fighting it.

It's been noted that my voice comes across as very androgynous, which was off-putting when I was a 280lb, bearded lad that looked like if VSauce Michael got bitten by a WereLumberjack. (since then, dropped half of that weight so it's less offputting, but I digress-) Over Voice Calls or in VR, I've gotten mistaken for trans women, or just outright a woman in general, and people try to ask me my pronouns. I never correct them. It's usually my friends that bring it up, thinking I'm offended even though I've responded to the statement without addressing the "wrong" pronoun. I've gotten asked my pronouns. I always respond by saying "Whatever you want to call me. I know I'm a guy, so I really don't care." And that's something I have seen so many people blue screen about. They get so confused for a solid moment or two as they debate how to approach the question. If anything I wonder if they are debating on if it would be worth lecturing me over (Given we're in an age where having a trans friend means you have to defend them as their ideological proxy). True, I could just say "He/Him" but it feels counterproductive to my belief that I shouldn't dictate what others call me - and by extension, I never respond harshly about it, I just shrug it off and say "Well, when you talk to me, what comes naturally?" They're so used to overly sensitive, ticking time bombs that are CHAMPING at the bit to lash out and renew their Victimhood punchcards that they sorta freeze up for a second. They're so used to needing to be puppeteered by abusive degenerates that use them as their daily hit of validation that they don't know how to respond to a genuine, polite "I don't care."
