I see this sentiment all the time. Any celebrity with more than a pea for a brain understands that doing anything BUT would be the effective suicide of their own entertainment career. It's like commending store clerks for not cussing you out at the register. I mean, I've loved Pac for 25 years now, but let's be for real. Celebrities signing autographs isn't about them being cool, it's about them understanding what negative PR does for their livelihood and fulfilling the least expectancy. Here's another way to look at it: If all you have to do, in order to make money off of what you love to do, is to some times pretend to be nice to strangers and write your name on pieces of papers, and then you a) get millions and b) won't have to work outside in the cold, then that seems like a pretty good deal to me. To me it looks like he's thinking "ahhhh fuck, okay, alright, I guess I just have to *puts on smile*". It's just a weird thing to get hung up on. How "cool" or "nice" celebrities are for actually acting like straight up decent people when interacting with fans/media in public.
@djkrueger1595
2 жыл бұрын
@@Preach07 I see your point and I agree.. but the reason I say he's cool for that is because he looks like he was really in a hurry but he actually took the time to sign everyones autograph and pose for pictures. I've lived in New York and have run across many celebrities in my lifetime. What I can say is, while many of them do stop and sign or take a picture with you.. there have also been many who are pretty rude and will straight up tell you "no" or "I'm not taking pictures right now". Sure they don't have to but if they wanna keep fans buying their product, they will. It won't damage their career in that moment.. but it will down the line if they keep doing it to the people who make them what they are. It shows us a small appreciation even though they aren't obligated to even acknowledge us. It's difficult being in the public eye I'm sure. But it's crazy because we make them what they are and without us they're nothing. But if anything, the art of signing an autograph for free is lost because nowadays thanks to eBay, autographs have monetary value not just to consumers but to the celebrities themselves. Comic cons have made it a full out business now. Most actors haven't had a part in years and are making a living off of selling their autographs. The only reason I said he was cool for that was solely on the fact that he actually stopped what he was doing and did that for his fans. He didn't have to.. Pac was a controversial figure who did act rude on many occasions. He could of easily said no and no one would've been mad at him for it cause of his image. The fact that he did take the time out for fans proves he actually was a nice person.
