This couldn't have come at a better time. Nosipho thank you for being a voice. I relate to this so much. Gender inequality is still very really, I always feel pressure to work ten times harder just to prove my worth as a woman, especially in the work place. I am also glad that you pointed out that society thinks that we as woman can simply fix this problem by ourselves, that we just need to speak up. That is not plausible unfortunately. Change was never driven by one man. I feel that while we are in the process of change, woman should be aware that this is reality and if it happens to them or someone they know to not ignore it.

@@azaniajuicethwala5324 I really would appreciate that, she's a whole lot of different vibe. We should make it fashionable for women to win in this male dominated world.

Zanele Vuma Sisi your surname says it all!!! We’re swinging doors wide open creating our own spaces, screw waiting for seats to be available, we’ll bring our own and win.

We really have a long way to go in terms of gender equality. And im just a bit worried because i feel that men are dragging their feet in changing the narrative because it favours them

Gender inequality is really sad but I'm glad that women are taking a stand and standing up for what they believe in and showing that women are more than capable to reach great heights, without these so called connections that are associated with women who are in high positions. Confidence is a really important lesson we should be giving out to our young girls because confidence allows women to be resilient and it allows them to see that they're truly worth more than diamonds or gold

Yoh I also get that a lot at home. I mean my brother and cousins are allowed to go out and hang out with friends and whatever but when it comes to me, I get a lot of questions and things like " suthanda umgwaqo uyintombazana" (don't get into the habit of going out to the streets, you're a girl). Other things like having a boyfriend is something else, I get told that I will fall pregnant and get disowned whereas, it's okay for the boy child to walk around and hang around with other girls.

I understand that gender inequality stems from what the society deems it to be and that most people are raised in homes where the male child is valued more than the female child, and that most men think they own us. However, one thing that always crosses my mind when this is the discussion at hand is that men grow up and make their own choices, so in as much as these conversations should be had at school level, it's the choices that one single male makes that contribute to gender inequality. So I think we should not entirely blame society, but also take accountability for our choices and decisions(I hope I'm making sense). Another one of your videos that I enjoyed❤

That statement makes no sense, as a person who is watching a medical KZitem channel you should realize that patriarchy was not invented by humans but invented by biology. The principles that govern physics abstract to our society, the world is patriarchal because that is how nature engineered our reality, however unfortunately human consciousness is not quantitative hence movements like these can exist even in a universe that punishes such discrepancies

Pivotal analysis of the economic impact and future based value of educating a girl child, (all girls) not only in South Africa, but for Africa as a power house leading the global community. As a male (even as a black male), I feel my gender alone warrants me privilege in contrast to my black sisters, which requires me to actively acknowledge it and co-create spaces with women that identify everyone as one.

I think this insert sounds alot more subjective, because no figures were presented to support your points. There Freedom Charter of 1955 definitely supported women and as a matter of fact I think one of the things that the South African Government (with the ANC) has been commendable for is their stance on empowering women....But ofcourse on the broad scope of I things you're right, maybe we men have brainwashed ourselves to a certain extent. There is more that can be done.
