I'm black and I don't even like the fact that every question was based on race, as if the interviewer was baiting for something. All of us blacks in tech go through the racial biases, but there's so much more to talk about that could help other people of color succeed. It's very discouraging when the message is "if you don't get a PhD in Physics and an MBA, the tech world will never accept you" these are brilliant women, but we need to make tech accessible for your average person that has the drive and will to build something.

Mr Burton, The conversation is appropriate for the topic...your stance has no suggestions so perhaps a subsequent conversation is PERFECT for YOU to address...I'll be watching for your explosive continuance of this conversation;)

The content was specific to the event and the audience. Had it been another conference it may have been different. As the moderator, I can tell you I've long been an advocate of not just being seen for your color or your gender but for the full range of who you are as a person and your talent and gifts. But the specific nature of this event and the audience in attendance lent itself to the framing of this specific conversation.

I appreciate Lynne. She has always been about real talk. I am thankful for that she asked the questions that need to be asked.

Saintil doesn't want so called "people of color" to think about it (race), but Madam, Black folks are often reminded of their Blackness.

See the thing is, I don't ever recall subbing to this channel. Clearly an error was made which has now been corrected.
