I feel like Jack and summer also deserve this award!! They were such kind souls…i love them sm!!

Absolutely, Auggie went through alot to earn the award, but Jack and Summer, and Charlotte, too, were the first to show up and say "Yeah, this kid looks different, who cares?". Once they showed Auggie and the rest of their classmates that you should judge someone for who they are, not what they look like, it was easier for him to fit in and not only be accepted by his peers, but also accept himself and not be ashamed of how he looks. Truthfully, I wish everyone at every age would learn this truth. Maybe there wouldn't be quite so much hate in the world.

This movie was based on a true story. I hope all school principals will be just like Mr. Tushman, and follow his great example. Updated: Sorry, not a real story, but from a novel. I hope there are real principals like Mr. Tushman.

I loved this movie. Growing up as an older sister to a special needs brother I related a lot to Via. I wanted a baby brother. He was born different but I didn’t care. We share a bond and he knows I’m always going to protect him. We fight like ordinary siblings too. And often I do feel lonely because of it. But I wouldn’t trade my brother for anything

No couse if he was doing that it would basically have people saying he only got the award because he’s different Aggi earned it you see examples throughout the movie and in the book the principal’s speech gives examples as well

This movie means a lot to people like me who were born different. Who have there fair share of operations? But struggle to fit into today's society. This movie should be a wake up call for today's society to not judge a book by it’s cover.

Thats so right, it shows the problems of someone who isn't part of the group so well. And it also shows how easy it would be to integrate everyone in a group. Our world would be so much better if we just stopped excluding people from social groups. Doesn't even have to be bullying, not being included in a social group is already one of the worst feelings.
