I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years and when I heard this song back when it was released I thought to myself, wow, that is some great guitar playing. But I didn't know the guitarist's name until many years later. @stricknine8623 a couple things: 1. NO, it was not just this song. Listen to Jen on Carnival, among others 2. "Underrated" literally refers to how the public rates you, not how musicians rate you. Musicians have always rated extremely talented people that were undersold by the mainstream media/critics much higher than the mainstream. When people say Jen is underrated, what they're saying is people will put Kurt Cobain as one of the best guitarists of the 90's, yet won't even recognize Jen in the top 100, which she OBVIOUSLY deserves to be

This was the song that was playing the very moment I was expecting my daughter. She's now going to be 20 in February. She's in second year pre-law at a top Canadian university. She's expecting my grandson in April. She is continuing her studies in summer intersession and we are all very proud of her.

*What a simpler time! I was 20 years old married with two small children and there was no internet no cell phones and none of the daily drama we see today! Those of us who lived in our Prime during this time I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did because it will never be like this again this time has come and gone never to be seen again!*

My children just read the book "Wonder" about the boy, Auggie I think his name, with facial deformities and this is the song that inspired the book's title.

She has so much of a Carol King, Linda Ronstadt and some Joni Mitchell in her. She is my favorite 90s female musician and her band is so tight. Great guitar work and rhythm section.

Still enjoy this, what an excellent band. Jen Turner's rhythm and lead technique is simply beautiful, I love the "call and response" style between her playing and Natalie's vocals.

Jen was an awesome guitar player. The tone and solos she played for Natalie was awesome. I played them when i was in high school and to this day they stand strong.

I will forever be hopelessly in love with the beauty, movement, sound, mind and aura of Natalie Merchant. Ut is impossible for me to see and listen to this video enough. The chills, goosebumps and tears running down my face with soaring emotion. Between Natalie's voice and the perfection of Jen's brilliant PRS lead masterpiece, how can anyone control their seratonin and adrenoline to this specific performance. I would have been completely overwhelmed if I had witnessed it live on Dave Lettermans show.

This video changed everything for me. I never paid attention to the songwriting on this album, the guitar work of a 22 year old phenom and her tasteful rhythm section. Turner's guitar is mixed so high in this mix. Every note serves the song. Tone's in her fingers. The lyrics of this song served as an anthem for families dealing with birth defects. This is high art and I missed it at the time. Let's make it right. Natalie's got a new album out that is gorgeous and lush. I hope Jen finds a vehicle to become KZitem famous as well. Next level.

Is there a woman more talented and beautiful than Natalie Merchant? No, there is not. And the guitar work in this song is awesome. Is like a cascade of symphonies pouring blissfully over your head.
