Hello, Wonderful vintage finds. I love the fruit items. We are able to buy an assortment of fresh fruit all year but in the 1950's fall and winter I remember tangerines, oranges, apples and pomegranates. I still like to make a Christmas centerpiece for the dining room table with fruits and nuts and set it on Evergreens and some pine cones. I am happy to see Cutie Patootie shopping Mom's treasures 😘. God bless 🙏🏽🕊❤

You found some very lovely items. The feather Christmas tree what a find and such a great deal. Jealous! I can only hope to come across one of those. The Lefton Halloween pumpkin with pilgrim children so sweet. Very different. The fruit center piece candle rings just so pretty. A great haul!!

Good grief.....a 7 foot feather and vintage Christmas Crackers!! 😳🎄👍😂. Just looking at all of the vintage goodness hiding out in the bottom of the corner cabinets makes me want to Deck The Halls right this minute! 😂. I love all of the "littles" you bought on this trip but those little pilgrims on pumpkins are my favorite!!💗🎃

What great finds. The Photomatic was a photo booth that were at places where people had to wait. Like train stations and restaurants. The photo was attached to that frame I believe within the same process. I was going to do a video about those photo booths. I am OBSESSED with your pilgrim pumpkin people. I have to find some of those!!!! The cards are fantastic too! And the tree, I mean, what??? Crazy good girl!!!! XO

I believe the box is talking about a “bobeche”it is maybe in another language? I grew up calling these bobeches, they’re used around candles to help avoid the wax melting onto your table/table cloth. Hope this helps! I LOVE your channel!! :)

I believe the candle rings box has the word bobeche, pronounced boh-besch, with the accent on the second syllable. A bobeche is designed to catch candle drippings as a rule. Perhaps use flameless candles or dripless candles with these.

Oh MY GOOD - NESS!!!! The stationery and Bobesches are my very favorites!!!! They are used to prevent candlewax from dripping on your tablecloth. Sometimes they are glass and look like little dishes with a hole in the center. Some have prisms hanging. These look very very vintage!!! That feather tree is priceless 💖💖💖💖💖 LOVE ALL THE LITTLES TOO!!!! My Saturday just brightened!!!! Thank you👵💖🦋

A little slow in catching up on all your videos. Usually drinking tea and taking notes! Anyway, the bobeche is usually a glass cup that fits over a taper at the base of the holder to catch drips. You have beautiful vintage decorative bobeche. Not wax drip catchers.

The little fruit is often called “della robbia.” You should know that your spirit is with me when I am thrifting. Yesterday I stopped at a thrift store that has a free section. Thinking of you I picked up a silver- colored coaster, thinking it would make a base for a bottle brush tree scene. When I got home, with the aid of a strong magnifying glass, I saw “ Tiffany & Co Sterling.” On Ebay the seller for a bamboo design coaster, identical to mine, is asking $695!!! Mine has some dark spots I have been unable to remove. Should I sell it for silver? No one is going to pay $695 for this one with spots.

The weight of a coaster would only get you a few dollars. Fabulous find. Use it as a base and you have a great story. Plus a jeweler can use a buffer to polish it perfect

I had one of Scott's (from the old curiosity shop) detached retina moments when I saw that tree in your dining room! Even as a reproduction it is valuable as there just aren't many of the originals that survived. I have 2 old feather trees. One is a small (maybe 1 foot tall) and has a square block stand with painting similar to yours. I think the bottom is marked 99 cents. It's the newer of the two I have. The other one I have is in really rough shape. It's between 3-4 feet tall and is much older. It has a round turned base. I posted pics in The Golden Glow of Christmas past Facebook page and was told the round bases usually indicate they came from Germany. It has little candle holders soldered to the end of the branches. You have an heirloom piece for sure! I don't know if they look good or cheesy, but they make small battery operated clip on candles that have a remote control so you could add a little light to your tree without burning the house down with real candles. I believe I found them on Amazon. I didn't end up ordering them since my tree still needs repaired. Figured I should tackle that first. There are KZitem videos of how they make the feather trees which are interesting. Sorry for the rambling comment...I get excited and my inner vintage Christmas nerd comes out. Lol

Also, I think some of those little fruits, especially with the wire may be spun cotton that are painted or lacquered. And I think the candle ring box is supposed to be bobeche, but might be misspelled. Thay are gorgeous!

It’s kind of hard to imagine, I woke up this morning and it is fall. I just wonder how the hibernating bear gets over the shock of waking up and it’s spring. Most of us are just trying to wrap our heads around that we’ve lost almost a year in time. Thanks for all of you that kept us grounded, that yes there were spring flowers, yes there were vegetable gardens, and yes the leaves will change colors and fall. Thank You. Any new paintings or sketches lately?

What a great deal you got on the feather tree and all the other Christmas smalls! The box says "Christmas Boboesches." A "bobeche" is a ring or collar placed on a candlestick to catch wax drippings or, in your case, decorate the candlestick. It can also refer to collars on chandeliers to do the same or to attach the dangling prisms from.

My heart aches for a good thrift store. Back home in Oregon I had shops I would go to on a weekly basis. Now, we live in GA and thrift stores are few and far between. The only decor items are mostly dollar store stuff. Cringeworthy. That's way I love watching your videos. I still can get my thrifting fix. Pumpkin s and p are adorable. Great finds. I'm not drawn to fake trees but, for an 800.00 savings I could be persuaded. Lol take care.
