Wongwian Yai, also spelled "Wong Wian Yai" or "Wongwien Yai" (Thai: วงเวียนใหญ่),
Is the Bangkok terminus of the Mae Klong Railway that runs from Bangkok to Samut Sakon (Mahachai) and Samut Songkhram (Mae Khlong).
Although Wongwian Yai is just off the centre of Bangkok in a busy inner-city built up area, it has the look and feel of a small friendly country village station. And there is a real live village idiot performing in the closing clip of this video.
Trains more or less leave on an hourly basis, passing slowly thru small towns and stations until reach the bustling port of Samut Sakon สมุทรสาคร at Mahachai station. Where you then get off to walk thru a huge vibrant fish market to catch a ferry to cross the Tha Chin River แม่น้ำท่าจีน to continue your journey to Samut Songkhram สมุทรสงคราม.
The railway became famous for its route through the Maeklong Railway Market, nicknamed Talad Rom Hoop, meaning the 'Umbrella Pulldown Market'.

I'm afraid I'm not that interested in metal boxes on rails, but they are Type NKF DMU - Diesel Multiple Units, built by Hitachi in 1985.
