i have the same stove, but mine is named Robens Kobuk. The rust is a really big downside! ive been using mine for 2 years now and im starting to get rust on many areas... im also really missing glass sides. the stove needs repainting every 2-3 years depending on how much you use it and in which weather you are using it in. but a big + is that my cooking surface it 100% flat, no warping what so ever! atm im planning to cut openings and fit my own glass windows, but im still in the planning stage.

Thanks for tips, it's down to seal the pipe from rain, I was thinking of a old baking tray holed and fitted over then fire type rope to seal off.

For me the rain Isn't really a problem. It would be extremely difficult to get a watertight seal around the flue; As soon as rainwater hits it it runs straight down the full length of the pipe. I believe there are special flashings which you can buy when cutting a new hole into a suitable tent. I have no experience so not sure of their merit. Thanks for your comment

Thank you for your video. If your stove stack/vent was a 5” diameter than it is unnecessary to guy the stack. It will not topple over. Yours looks like a three inch diameter. Still, even with that diameter it should withstand at least a 45 mph wind easily. The sleeve that transitions the pipe through the tent looks look it holds the metal sleeve rigidly and the sleeve does the same to the vent, which means, in a high wind, it will dislodge the vent/Stack. Plus that insulating tube will allow water to stream into the tent. Have you used this set up in pouring rain and heavy wind (45-80 mph) ?

Dude if you have dangerous level of CO from a wood stove you're gonna have more things to worry about than invisible CO, like toxic level of unbreathable SMOKE! But yea, cool vid.

The tent is kept very well ventilated- Levels of risk is a matter of personal choice.

@@pitchuplooksharp7966 i'd say your risk of CO is zero. God bless!

Can CO build to a lethal level in a canvas tent if you had no vents opened? I’m wondering since canvas is breathable, and because I think wood causes less CO than propane (but I could be wrong).

That’s not the prospector tent, it’s the prospector shack. The prospector tent is twice the size. I highly recommend the prospector tarp for use with the shack.
