My dad had a K-bar from his time in the military. I used it growing up, but it always felt...wrong somehow. Too light for it's size, too thin, didn't have enough weight to feel good in the hand. I never found a knife I really liked until I happened across on of these in an outpost. They had three hundred on it, way out of my price range, but when I picked it up it just felt perfect. Remembered the name and researched them a little more, and today I finally brought one home for 75 dollars. It's in beautiful shape, lots of blade left and the handle is tight as a drum. Absolutely not regretting my purchase thus far 👍

Great review, thank you for addressing the ridiculous "crate opener" myth. I'm not even gonna mention the nails hammering idea, anybody who's worked carpentry knows you're bound to miss the nail now and then, that would have given a nice hole in the fist during war time.
