What I like about this one is you show that it’s ok to use a pattern. Also that it doesn’t have to be a special carving pattern, it could be anything. Cut it out and carve away what didn’t need to be there. Very simple and easy for a beginner to see and learn from. Thanks for sharing. 👍

It’s weird, but when I see someone working with a power saw, I smell sawdust...even on a video. Maybe residual memory from watching my dad work with wood...oh the many birdhouses we made...well, he made them and I painted them. Good times.

Mind...blown... My kids have some colouring books that have some really nice looking pictures that I think are old and public domain. I was going to trace them with iron on pencil for embroidery. But there’s only so many embroidery projects a person can do. This is a wonderful idea!

I started spoon carving about 5 years ago. Lately I wanted to try carving some other things and came across your channel a few weeks ago. Just commenting to say I appreciate the help and your taking the time to offer it. I'm retired, but working as a driver for my Amish neighbors in Kentucky to make the ends meet. I fill the floorboard of my truck with shavings as I wait. They buy a few long handled cooking spoons for their bigger stock pots or I just give them away. I want to carve some fun things for the kids too, so I'll keep watching. Thanks.
