Someone commented on Flexcut being manufactured in the US. Most of these are made in the US. With perhaps the Flexcut and the Dockyard somewhat more production line tools, though very good value and quality.... ...and the Lyons, Denny and Mike Shipley (Now OCCTools) more custom knifes, but also made in the US. I think you can get some of the forged blades for OCCTools and make your own! Hope this might help others who like to buy locally!

I have been carving for about 55 years and used to make my own knives from wedge straight raisers, I discovered Dave Lions knives at a local show and they were the closest I have found to my design, not sure if Dave is still making knives? Most of what I use now are his, Dave made me some of my design and they are great knives. The thing I find wrong with most knife makers is the area where the blade comes from the handle are too thick, hard to explain, but I use the thumb pushing thumb method of carving I do a lot of detail in my work so I need to get into very tight areas hence the small end of the knife works best for me, thanks

Браво ! Я с Вами полностью согласен и солидарен, Вы точно и правильно выразили самую суть в дизайне ручек для небольших резчицких ножей ! 🤝👏✊🏻‼️‼️‼️

The three flexcut knife set that you showed; one of them you described as having a medieval axe type edge. According to other videos I have watched, that one is called a fishtail knife.

I appreciate that, but I was only asking that when you show your knives to give it a slight turn towards the camera so that the profiles of the blades are identifiable. As it was, they were only ambiguous shapes that had little meaning to me at least. Thank you for your response to my comment

This video would have been much more helpful if you would shown the profiles of the blades and how you would use each one.

W. Tinnen yes. I’ll be doing that in more depth for individual knives in the near future. Thanks for the comment.
