I joined some school children recently tree planting on the edge of existing woodland, hundreds of trees of assorted species planted by some very keen young folk, it was touching seeing how excited they were to be part of the project. In the future however many trees survive they'll be able to show their own children the woodland they created. This Woodland Trust mountainside project is absolutely essential too & all this sort of thing gives me hope for the future.

After centuries of over-exploitation and abuse by humans, It's fantastic to finally see this landscape being returned to nature by such dedicated people.

Forgot to ask - some of the drone footage shows moorland drains. Any plans to block/remove them?

We need to stop the phrase "climate change" and use poor town planning and poor habitat mangement instead.

The climate is supposed to 'change' - only humans are arrogant enough to think it should stay sunny and calm for them. What we should concentrate on is 'care for our planet' imo. Do achievable things, like this project, with Nature and people in harmony at its heart. What can we give back without bankrupting/destroying ourselves into the bargain, when we don't need to imo.

Many of the flooded homes near rivers are older buildings, it’s not just new builds which have to have flood risk reports done during planning
