This stuff is dangerous! Although the mill itself has all the dangers of a bandsaw, and the blade should be avoided due to obvious reasons, the most dangerous aspect of milling is log / cant handling. Please be careful! Working with bearings and pullers can create all kinds of forces and danger, I am not responsible for improper techniques!
Up today is my Woodland Mills HM126 bandsaw. It had a vibration when speeding up and slowing down. Something wasn't smooth. I decided to try replacing the bearings, and I was guessing that it was the non-driven side that was bad. Sure enough, one of the chinese bearings was bad. Best to replace with nice stuff. SKF 6305 2RS 1c3 rated. Very nice. NEED 2 BEARINGS PER BANDWHEEL.
You need a BIG puller, harbor freight (or other) hub bearing kit, snap ring pliers and preferably an impact with appropriate sockets.
thread size for the center bolt is m10x1.5, which is popular on this mill for other things. I used an upright bolt to help cinch the wheel back onto the spindle.
Enjoy!
