I think I speak for many in expressing our deepest gratitude for all the work you do. After many years of absence, watching your channel has stoked a renewed interest in bushcraft. Also, your videos on black powder developed another interest and resulting in me buying my first BP revolver. Please, keep up the great work.

I would probably add a shoulder pad for the weight you're carrying. It can be a "Bee with an itch" to carry after many klics on the trail.

Great looking little pack, i am thinking with the addition of d-rings on the bottom backside of the pack it would be very easy to add some (alice) shoulder straps and use it as a small rucksack too.

Nice pack with one flaw. The top flap needs to be wider on top. It might be water repellant but if the sides are sticking out past the flap rain will get in your pack. It wouldn't be hard to fix. Just sew on some material were the gaps are.

I love your thinking behind the haversack. My only and I mean only down side is the sack around my neck and falling in front of me every time I bend over to look at something or wait for a squirrel to come out. That is why I carry a small back pack. What is your thoughts or comments. I would to hear them.

I think the thank you needs to go the other way Blackie. It takes hours to get us a 20 minute video. A lot of work that you are willing to do. Also the black powder project you have added, more work. So OK you said thank you to us for watching. Your welcome. But we're getting the better part of this deal. Stay safe. P.S. Add a Kwickclot bandage of some type to your med kit. Then you get to the ER for sure. :)

Good video as always. Like the haversack. I live in a desert area where trees suitable for hanging a hammock are few and far between. Therefore I need some sort of a ground pad or mat. If you were to carry this haversack in my area, what would you use for a mat?

I can’t imagine carrying a 10 lb haversack through 10 miles in Appalachia’s without your shoulders feeling the burn. So I’m not sold on this idea. I appreciate the effort in packing this to capacity for a car pack.

"just curious Blackie, I know from personal experience in my youth, with your "beloved Alabama" that the Mo-skeeters are big enough and of such a plenteous number as to practicably dreen a person dry of blood over night. bug dope or not so my question is do you find it necessary to put up a mo-skeeter net? I know that I do in my adopted Georgia, and while i'm askin, let me also ask, how big is this mesh hammock I hear you talking about?" I know that you said that you prefer a skeeter net heres a dyi skeeter net kzitem.info/news/bejne/yIeI1XmmhF9oho4
