This video shows the process of turning a Six-Branched Streptohedron. This was quite a technically challenging project due to every angle and dimension needing to be perfect for it to work. I made a template out of plastic that I referenced to get the perfect angles, as well as a pair of callipers to get exact measurements. I glued some newspaper between the pieces of wood so I could easily separate them later with a knife. This is the first video I've filmed with my new camera and I haven’t quite got used to it yet so the focus is a little off on a couple of the clips.
Turned from Beech and finished with Chestnut Products Spirit Stain and Acrylic Gloss Lacquer.
This is my entry into the Christmas Ornament Competition held by @makestuff.123 on Instagram. Entry's close on the 20th of December so there is still time to enter if you haven’t already.
