Regardless or what you think about WA personally....his movies are in a league by themselves. They have meaning, depth, they are usually hilarious, they have nuance, and make us think about ourselves. Years from now, no one will care about 95% of movies Hollywood puts out. There will be no Spderman, Fast and Furious, or other franchise retrospectives but WA's movies will be shown as long as people watch movies. Some of his movies are better than other but all have actors that are actually acting without the crutch of special effects, graphic sex scenes, and other fillers normally found in popular movies.

Upon running in this man i only said "Have a nice day, in spite of everything" In response, i got a short laugh. It was my 5 bytes moment. His early comedies are deliciously irreverent and speak to men who recognized themselves at the same age. His choice of muses in the Marx Brothers is again, a well of sweet waters. He has been an amazing observer of the passing world, and knows how to wield a critical knife towards human folly. Among his best: "Bananas", "Radio Days", "The Purple Rose of Cairo", "Annie Hall", the one in the future with Dianne Keaton. Did you not believe the it until the "heartfelt interview" ? That's the evidence that tipped your opinion after 25 years of closed police investigations and passed lie detector tests, you have changed your entire opinion on the case due to one interview ? Either that or you have only just heard of the allegations and therefore know close to nothing else about the case other than the one interview you sat through, in which case I'd urge to do some more research instead of looking up Woody Allen interviews to tell everybody how much you dislike him, because you watched an interview last month about it.
