Does prefixing CSS classes protects your code in any legal way? I see many popular theme and plugin business are prefixing their classes.

Nice try, but good luck suing an Indian company that has no contact details on their website.

Again someone who does not understand how the GPL works. The whole thing with licese keys and automatic updates for money is completly illegal and a violation of the GPL. You can charge money for support nothing else. Many companies try to sell you, that their premium plugins have to be paid. This is wrong, a deception and illegal. Only the support has to be paid. If you give out a plugin to the public, you have to enable anyone to get it. Please understand that these businesses are build on a weak base, a viral license. Selling premium plugins under the GPL is aready trolling. ;)

We know the GPL license very well and there's nothing illegal in selling GPL licensed code or restricting updates with license keys, etc., as long as the code is fully provided and not obfuscated. You would want to revise your understanding of the GPL: www.gnu.org/philosophy/selling.en.html
