I love how you take us through your process sheet. You show where your ZK fits into your work. It is not an isolated box.

YES! From the very beginning -- even though I encountered the Scott Scheper ZK as a nonfiction tool, I immediately uderstood it as a fiction tool, and I never looked back!! It is an amazing tool once you harness it! And the BEST part is that the process reveals itself!

Amazing if you are a plotter, I wonder if this actually works for a pantser? Maybe reverse the process. I am thinking about making a Substack, this would work perfectly for it

If you're building/using the ZK as a receptacle for ideas and a tool for producing writing, it won't matter if you plot or pants. You can be pantsing along and grab the cards you need to work from whether you have a plot outline or not. It also works if you aren't certain of where your story is going. Just think of the plot box as a "holding cell" for sequencing your thoughts about your story. It doesn't have to be formally structured. Maybe I can expand on this if you want? Because you're focused on simply writing freely, you can still use your research and cards as a basis for pantsing happily along. (and, as a bonus, you have them safely organized in your notebox should you need that info later).
