I am a beginner in R. I am in training for a few month now and I am far from good. And I am a bit disappointed that a lot of very good and clear tutorials on youtube stop at the very basics and never touch a few more advanced questions that come up as soon as you set these clean and tidy premade data aside and want to work on your own project. I mean, the data are a great example and all, but I am not interested in cars (and neither is my cell biology PI). For example: I am writing a script, that is supposed to be carried to different computers, e.g. at work and home, on a USB drive. One could ask: What is a good way to organise a script's directory? How do I, for example, check if a output folder exists and how do I generate it, if necessary? mainDir
