I worked at dominos as a manager for 6 months and honestly hated it. I didn’t care what my employees did I only cared if they respected me and and only give what the customer “actually” needs and nothing more. I let them take 15 min smoke breaks and let them make their own food and not charge them anything cause we only got 50% off. Dominos never paid the drivers or anyone well and their food is absolute ass so I was doing everyone a solid by just giving it to them. When customers pissed me off I just hung up the phone, blacklisted their address for future deliveries and forced them to leave my store. It’s fun being a manager but I respect my employees more than any customer ever cause I’m never there to make friends with customers only my fellow co workers and that’s the only thing I care about as a manager in the food industry

It really all depends on management and the coworkers. During my time at Mcdonald’s, I had great managers and coworkers most of the time. I disliked my time at the other places i worked because my managers treated me horribly and the managers would take up for the customers even when it was clear the customer was being rude. The work itself is very annoying at times because its either dead or a rush with no in between. Its definitely not a long term job, But it can be a good starter job. At first I did all food prep then I moved to cleaning like 1 Taking out the garbage 2 Staking bread trays 3 Cleaning Tables 4 Cleaning chairs 5 Lot check like sweeping outside 6 Washing dishes 7 Sweeping the floors mopping the floors 8 Cleaning bathrooms (Someone smeared shi* on the wall in both bathrooms) I quit because the last manger I worked for drove me crazy and now she woks for door dash I think. She said I could come back but when offered me dish washer job I said no then she said she never hire me back again. I have a lot more fun there 1 Making ranch 2 Toasting bread and buttering it 3 Toasting burger buns 4 Dropping burger patties 5 Making bacon 6 Making pretzel sticks 7 Making rotisserie chicken I have made a few burgers in the past and wrapped them. I sometimes also go back to freezer and grab chicken, burger patties, onion rings or sometimes even cheese curds Someone on Instagram thought I was a chef. I worked at mcd's for a month only, since everybody my age said leave while you can. They were also there since 1 month prior and we ended up leaving the same time. What I didnt understand was that I could've made my own schedule when to work by it needed to be 2 weeks in advance like tf? and also I was at 4 hrs but they would put me at 8 during weekend, with the same discount for food as if I was working 4, and the only discount I had was half price for a hamburger, small fries and small drink like cmon I was supposed to work 8 hrs on just a sandwich and small fries, not to mention I couldn't work night shifts, only after 3 months you are able to work them, that was the only reason I wanted to work there but in the interview they didnt said shit about the 3 months, also I had to work 1st and 2nd day of Christmas since I worked in Decembre and when I saw that next week they had putted me on 31st and 1st January I said that's it, my own schedule my ass and left the same day. Not to mention the waves of people we had on Christmas day, being in overdrive, at least I got my orders right but some people we're already angry before they would order. The only positive/good thing was my coworkes who were frendly and had fun with, but my manager, oh no, not her. When I said that I wanted to leave she scolded me like I was a little kid, apperently this is how they deal with people leaving, accusing them of getting in her way. My first job was as a Subway "sandwich artist", which is a misnomer because you have no creative control whatsoever. At 15, I was inadequately trained then thrown right into the evening dinner rush with lots of hangry customers and a butthole boss. When we were slammed with a line nearly out the door, my boss didn't take over the register or do anything to help serve customers more efficiently. Instead, he literally looked over my shoulder while criticizing my sandwich making. In the back, he also impossibly expected me to quickly wash giant meat tubs and slicers without getting any water on the floor. I only lasted a month until quitting after he changed my schedule without even notifying me. That was my first and last fast food job. And I would never go back unless was my last hope to avoid destitution.

Almost worked at Jack in the Box but man thank goodness that I didn’t get that job, it would’ve been terrible and I’m glad I can say that I never worked at Fast Food but I have at retail so I mean it’s a lot of bs to put up with tbh. 😂

I never worked fast food, but I always thought if I ever did, I prefer to be in the back "cooking" or even cleaning restrooms, but not in the front as a cashier. My aunt was cleaning restrooms at McDonald's. Then it turned out they gave her that job, without a problem, because she did not speak English.

Lmao. Try working at Panera where the customers lean over the counter to stare at their order and you if you’re taking too long. Fuck fast food bro

@@vindicco4595 wait. What? They lean over the counter to look at their order? Damn. What part of the world is this in? Did they never learn boundaries or personal space? How old are they?

@@vanessab2392 Yep, it’s ridiculous. It’s people of all ages doing it. I’m only a teenager and especially when they do this during big rushes it bothers me.

i worked at a wing place in a mall and oh my lord my manager hated me because i was the fuck up employee , i wasn’t terrible at my job but i wasn’t good. i would constantly forget where everything was mostly because the layout of the wing shop made no sense and was constantly changed. Besides that i was okay but i worked there for 9 months and i hated it. 2/10 experience

Funny thing is how damn near impossible it is to get fired from one... A customer threatening to have me fired I'd be like oh yes please, tell my boss I used hate speech at you maybe that will work. A punishment in fast food is a promotion.
