I’ve been curious about this building for a long time, and while in the area I decided to finally check it out. Not sure what the history of this building is, but it’s quite interesting. This complex comprises of a 2 floor section and the main tower, which is extremely skinny but relatively tall. I definitely suggest taking a look at this place on Google maps. The low rise section has a defunct Otis Lexan, and the high rise part has what you see here. This thing is pretty much completely original other than the fixtures. My favorite part is that they kept the original call stations and just filled in where the buttons used to be, and left the roto-dials alone! I can’t believe they all still work too, I checked on multiple levels and they all seemed to work. The shaft itself has windows in it which is pretty cool. It’s also decently fast for the distance it travels. Pretty cool elevator!
