I am a survivor and thriver! I have lived through many emotionally abusive relationships and two physical ones. I really needed to hear this. It is so simple and straightforward in clarity and definition on what this is/where and who the problem is coming from. Thank you.

I want mine to be held accountable for attacking me so my/our son will see it is wrong. I would be happy if he simply owned his behavior, apologized to me and my son, and resolved to do better. No police necessary, but he will not.

true and it's also sad that toxic masculinity puts big stigma on men getting mental health therapy, viewing it as "weak".

Do you have a course for women? Or is it just men that need it?

You are being warned. Unfortunately the vast majority of men do not even complete the nonsensical Respect "accredited" programmes. In 2007 230 men approached the DVIP - the Domestic Violence Intervention Programme based in London, the first programme to be "accredited" by Respect in 2009 - with best practice ! i.e. cannot be improved upon! 36 men completed the programme that year. Before a Home Office select committee the CEO of that time, Mr Ben Jamal, claimed a 70% reduction - the industry standard. That would mean just 22 men! On BBC radio, Mr Neil Blacklock, of DVIP, standing in for the CEO of Respect, Ms Jo Todd, who was on maternity leave stated: "Sometimes as many as a quarter of the men make it through." In 2018, depending on which accredited programme you believe, there are 10, 12,or 14 accredited programmes in the UK. Virtually all the programmes on offer are hybrids of the Duluth "perpetrator" programme. This is what the Ministry of Justice paper concluded in 2014: www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/305319/transforming-rehabilitation-evidence-summary-2nd-edition.pdf (p.25) What is the impact on reoffending? The most recent systematic review of US evidence indicates that the Duluth Model appears to have no effect on recidivism.154 However, this review also identified substantial reductions in domestic violence reoffending by offenders who had attended other interventions. These interventions varied widely in their approach (including cognitive behavioural therapy, relationship enhancement and group couples counselling), and the reviewers were therefore unable to make recommendations about specific preferred alternatives to the Duluth Model.

I had a voicemail from my then boyfriend threatened to kill me n a male Pemberton cop refused to listen to it. Told me that I should kiss Harleys ass n thank him for everything he did to me. Well the superior court judge wasn't happy with that cop refused to file report

My unpopular opinion, human beings are not made for long term relationships.
