Marty, your little patch of paradise is looking stellar. The cleared paths and Tiki guys, and that shop camouflage really ties the room together. (Like a nice rug). Stay safe and keep up the good work. All the best.

I was thinking that too... but I don't think he is worried about bugs since he leaves the front doors wide open most of the day.

Hey Marty, good luck with the storm, it looks like it will pass west of you. I always enjoy seeing the dogs. Time spent with dogs or fishing doesn't count towards getting older.😀

Love the stop and smell the roses.. or pups rather, moment. Been watching since the lil red kayak and these pauses always remind me and everyone else how to appreciate what we have. Hopefully you, the pups and Ol Rich stay safe and maybe we can get another Irma party vid. Keep it up brother man. Zack @ zro fishin

Marty... have you thought about adding "youtube lights"? To the trailer? I mean if you think about it... for "work" you can use whatever lights you have now and for filming a quick video you can just use a good old 12v rv light which is more than enough when mounted and dangling from the ceiling. They are like $12 or so. That way you dont have to worry about light banding and flickering.

A piece of screen sandwiched behind the fans would probably keep out any bugs.

I have built a hydrogen bomb before by accidentally shorting the terminals right after charging a lead acid battery while keeping it in an enclosure. The container exploded and shattered pieces flying everywhere. My ears rang for a while and fortunately I was not hit by the flying debris. That could’ve been very bad.

Love the work shop! As for your battery compartment, I might suggest an "explosion proof" fan. These are fans that have the motors sealed so there's no spark that could ignite flammable gasses. I'm sure you know the gas from the batteries can be flammable. Since you already have 12 volts DC there, many boat bilge blowers would fit the bill. :)

You can put a bit of chicken wire in the vent and then fill it with steel wool to keep the critters out but let the air pass. They also make screw on filters for common fan sizes to be used in PC cases to add an extra layer on the inside.

I bet if you add thin foam filter in the battery vent, it will make it even quieter and also keep them clean and could also keep the bugs out

You should definitely put some sort of screen on there to keep the bugs out. They sell different size screens for RVs that may work.
