You have the wrong kind of shears. You have offset shears, essentially powered aviation snips. You need a double cut shear, which has two fixed anvils with a single blade cycling between them. It creates a thin strip of waste in the 'kerf' but it creates clean edge.

If you are worried about people running into the posts with vehicles, you should add some reflective tape at driver's eye level. That way you never have to worry about the lights burning out or going bad over time. You can probably find something that would blend in really well and only be noticeable at night if you are worried about aesthetics.

I agree with the waviness on the impact nibbler. My cuts were like that a lot until i figured it out. All i can say is don't fight it when it cuts, the battery will go from basically touching the sheet to being in the air throughout the cut. Use it more and you'll get the knack of it.

You absolutely will need to install a gutter on the porch and from personal experience I would recommend a gutter guard while you're at it. You have plenty of big trees around the shop so it will be a problem eventually. I just installed them on my mom's house. Best customer ever! Sandwiches, hot food and coffee. Go mom! Her house is surrounded by tall trees in the neighbor's yard so we decided to surround the house with guards.

for the shears - having support on both pieces helps, and managing your pace will dictate how much of that wave is noticeable Crafted Cocktails sounds like a great second channel I'd love to see you do something like a chainfall or stacked pots (fountain style) or another creative technique of diverting the runoff of the gutters but also adding more character to the exterior. loving this build

Your cutting attachment will cut smooth the other direction. Look at the blades and plan your cut with the proper side of the blades on the outside. When I first got this tool for my business, I had smooth cuts and then wavy cuts. It comes down to position of the blades, so find the right direction and plan your cuts accordingly

I was going to suggest pre-drilling the holes in the roofing, but you figured it out. The added aesthetic benefit is the screw lines are nicely straight. A tip, use a cobalt bit, it'll do exceptionally well with a cordless drill (lower rpms). One bit would probably hold up through the entire building covering. Yeah, you'll find pre-drilling wall metal is entirely beneficial.
