I think they like it to be a nice steak house "dress code" men wearing a nice shirt and slacks, ladies in a dress or office wear...but here in Oregon half the year is rain, which means ladies dress shoes get slogged by the time you leave your car to walk to the door. Slogged means not only oozing water from the soles but the upper part of your nice shoes take a beating from the cold rain slapping your feet from above to match the wet bottoms and toes. So most if the year, pants and water proof shoes, to a hooded coat backed up with an umbrella to save your makeup when the sleet or slanted rain blows your hood off.

I always order my steak RARE when I go out. I find it's rare (pun intended) to actually get it RARE, as restaurants normally over cook everything, to my experience. If it does come back RARE I will be pleased, but MEDIUM RARE is fine too ... (I would order medium rare for this challenge if I was able to try it :) )

Oh, man.... I would love to eat a steak like that. Not quickly, though haha. I tend to like my steak done medium rare.

Really love seeing you and Scott beat the brakes off of some food challenges! Way back then it was hard to beat but Joel and Scott were not around then! Way to go guys!

Here’s a tip , always find the grain of the steak and cut it against the grain. Makes it more tender and a lot less chewing.
