I'm not terribly enamored of the mid-tier Dutch cruisers, but the line really comes together for me with Tier VIII Dutch cruiser Haarlem. This Battle Report on Land of Fire showcases why, I think. Against most targets, Haarlem is not going to land big, impactful salvoes. Her strength is in playing similar to how Hipper or Atago plays: holding the range open and slowly whittling down opponents with her shells and airstrikes. She has more utility than her light cruiser predecessors as well, and adding a heal into the mix gives her staying power that allows her to pace herself and make her impact felt over the course of a long battle.
Enjoy!
