I'm getting into WP myself more recently...what's the best ways to do borders for loading the rest of the world? Is making a 'starter' island the only really way to do it without taking all the time to smooth out the edge? There's examples of everything in nature. River islands are more common that you think they are. For example Notre Dame is on an island in the river in Paris. Montreal has a lot of them aswell. The Nile Delta is another example of a big river splitting

Been waiting for the river tutorial for a long time, hoping there's something there to help me with my... little... problem of having to spend a godawful amount of time to create all the rivers using this method. Seems I may have found the problem - am I the only one who makes a dozen tiny streams going down from the snowy peaks of mountains to form rivers? ...yes it's time-consuming.
@lorddakr
5 жыл бұрын
The best thing to do is get all of the basic rivers done in world painter, then do the streams from the mountains by hand. But...only do those ones by hand when it's where you're building so you aren't spending a lifetime on it and focus on where it matters to you.
