World Parkinson’s Day falls on 11 April each year.
70,000 people in NSW are living with Parkinson’s - it is more prevalent than most common cancers and affects people of all ages.
In fact, 38 people are diagnosed with Parkinson’s each day in Australia, 5 of them under the age of 40.
It is a progressive, degenerative condition, its causes are unknown and a cure has not yet been found.
Parkinson’s NSW is raising awareness throughout April, shining a light on Parkinson’s and make a difference in the lives of those living with Parkinson’s.
