that part about not needing uvs to be unfolded feels like it'll be super important for oddly shaped shapes. the first shape i made and added into unreal engine was a curved stone gate and it was really screwing me over since even if i unfolded the gate properly to avoid warping, the texture would have obvious edges where the pattern just suddenly changes. but how to add it in and its growing effect on the complexity of the material makes my brain start spewing smoke.

@@offyourocker yeah I always use it on complex models. Makes my life a lot easier. It has some limitations, but mostly it helps. use the world aligned nodes. I have a video for that too.

Great video. Especially showing in what context these nodes are useful. Can you also do videos about the combination between material and niagara?

Why use the saturate node?
@HojDee

It clamps the values.otherwise the effect may break. I've explained it in this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1XifyGyniqqVZIIsi=ekU_OlH7-lGSauf8

@@HojDee You can also use Clamp (0-1). Saturate is a faster(free) function on the GPU FYI.

@@AL-bh2ws thanks for sharing the information :) I have a clamp and a saturate video too. Check them out if you're interested
