I know conditions are different in a pool compared to open sea, but Ross has such an efficient and smooth front crawl stroke now compared to a few years ago. Graceful even!

I broke my knee. I somehow ended up reading the book on resilience by Ross. That day I decided to learn swimming and swim a marathon one day. today 2 years later i just finished my 5k swim. Than you Ross for the inspiration.

I get the feeling the title is misleading. (On KZitem?? Who would have guessed.) Not only do you not swim the 180 km during this video (just leading up to it), it's also really hard to compare this to any world records. If we're speaking any quantifiable world records, I believe Maarten van der Weijde has the furthest distance swam in 24 hours, and also did insane swims of over 200 km (with small rests in between), so he would be hard to beat. Still, don't want to imply it's not insanely impressive, because it definitely is. But I think some perspective would be fitting.

He is a great athlete, but not even close to an Olympic swimmer. I know the truth hurts, but olympic swimmers are such a different brute and to be smacked by them doesnt mean you are a bad athlete at all! The warm up pace of someone like Paltrinieri is probably faster than his all out pace..

It's amazing how training can push you beyond your limits. Eddie Hall basically gave himself a concussion deadlifting 500kg. Ross can literally swim to death. One can completely override every safety mechanism of survival but for some reason instead of dying one becomes unimaginably robust.

You're a legend! All the challenges you accomplish... WOW! I loved your "The world fittest book" and I loved your appearence in Chris Hemsworths "Limitless". Not gonna lie I don't really like swimming. I did take swimming classes to get the swimming badges that you needed for school and so on, but even when I'm in a swimming pool, most of the time I just chill out and enjoy the feeling, instead of really swimming haha. I have always done sports. First soccer and then the gym. But maybe I should go swimming more often haha. It could certainly be good for my problematic shoulder that I have (even though I'm only in my early twenties). Greetings from Germany bro

I’ve done your first training plan from the world fittest book 3 times now. Had some injuries and retrained by body. I am absolutely on fire 🔥 I did substitute your leg session with the knees over toes Zero and Standards because I found that worked for me. From the bottom of my heart thank you. I am now a beast!!! 💪

I don't understand this sport. How do you consume nutrition while you're swimming for 50+ hours? It's non-stop, isn't it ?

You are an inspiration, Ross. If I ever feel like not doing something, I watch one of your videos or read one of your books. Is it possible to train your body to be capable of incredible challenges from a complete beginner body (and mindset) and aged 32? 🤣.
