I placed an order for a Stam SSL comp a few years ago, and a year and a half later they still couldn’t promise me when it would ship after 3 separate times telling me it will “ship in a few weeks.” It was a bit like pulling teeth to get my $200 deposit refunded in full also. What a tease the whole experience was. No thanks. Bought a Revive MSL-TX instead that shipped next day, and I’m very happy with it.

Well, I'm a little dubious. if I use a 1176 it is precisely so as not to have a tube compressor sound. I think it's to simulate the 1176 La2a combo.I found it convincing only for vocals.but that said I would have fun with it! Merci pour vos vidéos.
@mixbustv

Not at all. The tube is in the output stage. Not used for the gain reduction (like a Mu), and the 2A uses an option cell. Granted that you can just not use the tube if you want on this one, you use the 1176 for it's action (FET) and color (amp) , you wouldn't get "tube compression" even if you wanted because it's in the output stage.

1 tube, output stage. Why would you do a comparison with the "original 76" what's the original 76? This is exactly a revision D, you can literally compare it just by NOT engaging the tube. The 176 then it's a completely different compressor, not even remotely close to any revision of 1176 as it's a vari-mu.
