I’ve always found the bric-à-brac section of the fair the best place to find the hidden gems due to the dealers there just happening to a few boxes of records but not really knowing what they have as it isn’t their field of expertise. My best score in there were 2 original U.K. Columbia Don Rendell’s for €2 apiece. Although the increasing knowledge of the internet is making that increasingly more difficult.

Nice finds! I'm surprised the Isaac Hayes is hard to find. In the US, you see them everywhere. I've got a color vinyl repress of that album. I prefer watching the show and tell over the digging.

Also , and I think you touched on it in one of your earlier videos , the price of staying in a hotel in Utrecht can soon eat away any profitably you make when you get back home. I think the very first time I went was with a friend about 15-16 years ago , at the time I had a “bricks’n’mortar” second hand record shop and we slummed in a local YMCA in Utrecht for about €15 each per night (dealer day , Saturday morning then home) , of course by the time we got home and told our wives how fantastic it was and about the antique fair next to it they wanted to come the next year and the slumming it aspect went out the window then , suddenly it was €80-€120 a night hotel room :-( I’m too long in the tooth to do the YMCA slumming it now , but for any young bucks reading this , that’s the way to go to make it pay.

A few dealers and I did this record fair twice in the 00’s, a great experience and a good weekend socialising with the others in Utrecht, not too expensive either (pound was about €1,40 then). I remember we sold a lot of Rammstein vinyl 👍😬. Hopefully going back this year purely as a buyer, 🤞.

17:08 I read somewhere that most copies of Introducing The Beatles are actually counterfeits pressed in the 1970s. Maybe you could do a video about how to tell whether an album is the real deal or not.

The sound on all your videos is so nice. You sound a bit like Alan Freeman.

I don't know how much you paid for those 2014 mono reissue Beatle albums but all I know there are a lot here in the states some of them go for 100 -175 dollars per album sealed, The box set goes for $1,500 ! Man I kicked myself for not buying this when it was affordable oh well LOL
