It's been proven having sugar from natural sources, such as fruit (small amounts of fructose), replenishes glycogen stores well after a workout and also in the morning. So if someone is going to eat sugar they have to do 2 things: 1: keep it natural 2: take it when it fits best for muscle recovery.

both you and Tyler are right. you can lift heavier if there's muscle mass, but bigger muscles don't necessarily mean you're strong. technically speaking, your central nervous system is much more important in providing strength than your muscles. fat helps with making you stronger, as this is mass thats easier to gain and maintain than muscle. but the reason why bodybuilders & powerlifters look different is because of the low-rep (increasing cns efficiency --> strength) vs high-rep (hypertrophy)
