RG LeTourneau was a revolutionary individual not just in the heavy equipment industry but also in mankind. Thankfully, I've had the opportunity to put around in one of those log stackers on a school field trip. I was a sophomore and have to say that I've had the opportunity to be in a loader and a tourna-pull too! I've been saying for years if LeTourneau could do it, there is zero reason we can't today.

@@Amanda-ej7pl. I was in the Prince George BC area when this happened around here. I think most mills went to the hydraulic Wagner units due to lack of electrical system knowledge. There aren't too many people these days who grasp the generator and motor set-ups in the Letourneaus. They have both AC and DC systems. Easy for me to understand as a Motor Rewind Electrician, a little tougher for an average Heavy Duty Mechanic to understand.
