this organ is amazing and absolutely worth every penny!!!! Steven ball is a wonderful and talented organist as well as a beautiful person; he is very personable and friendly, and I love going to Boardwalk Hall to visit everyone there and especially to see Steven and hear him play these phenomenal one of the kind of organs that are there!!!!😃😃😃

I so agree. You cant record the experience. I sat next to a master once while he warmed up at the largest pipe organ in our state and have been inspired ever since :)

I'm glad to see that they are making progress on it's restoration! So many of these instruments have been lost forever. No one makes them like that anymore,, once they're gone, They Are Gone! Can't wait to hear it at 100%!

"...On IT IS restoration"? Also, "once they're gone, [t]hey [a]re [g]one"? Not really... obviously this one's not. Well... even when they're there but just not working, that doesn't make them "gone."

Always interesting to hear more about this ill-fated organ, but why oh why do the reports contain about 98% chat and only 2% of the instrument itself?

Because, like in sports, the talking heads are more important than what they're covering.

musicurio they're saving it for the reveal.... do you think the director of a movie in the making over 70 years wants to have a trailer that's 98% of the movie?

no, naturally, but a TRAILER with a bit more organ and less chat would seem to be a good idea to me.

Hmm, if this is only somewhere along their 4th year into a 10-year-assumed project back in 2017, then it oughtta be about done _for real_ now, here at the start of 2023 (January), eh? But as for back then, how is going from only partially functional to only a little more partially functional already "being back" (from the dead)? And then what're ya gonna say when it really IS fully back into operation (I guess any week/month now, if not already)?

800 million ??? Only if the people in charge of the restoration have anything to do with it lol. This restoration has went so over budget and is out of control. I do not know who is in charge of the donations and funding but you should be fired. I love this organ and its a master piece, I know what it takes to restore it and with all the volunteers etc the cost to restore is out of control not to mention the organ is still not completed. unbelievable

You have to consider there are a lot of unknowns when restoring the ML. There’s ALOT of stuff to go through, all the water damage in the upper chambers, the physical damage from ill informed and unruly construction workers. There was no way to truly estimate the actual cost of restoring this magnificent instrument.
