There is a lot of linear forward force up high with respect to the frame and it’s mounted on a trailer where the 30mm by 4mm bracket in the centre of the trailers rear door and everything around it is getting fairly corroded! Yes there are also sash straps but I would at least beef up the rear support system. Great turbine though, looks awesome! 😊😊

Hi Eliott Very poor SFC at full afterburn , ~9lpm , 3 to the combustor and 6 to the A/B , theres 3 X 044 type EFI automotive fuel pumps , all at max flow capacity

Where does one get the compressor and turbine wheel/shaft to build one of these? Id like to build a larger turbine than I can simply buy from kingtech.

@@Turbojetkart no Andy, the Kingtech k450 G4 is 99 lbs thrust. So likely half the size as the gas producer here.

@@Turbojetkart I can machine my own parts but I can't CNC a compressor wheel or cast a turbine. Is it trade secret where you source them? I'd like to build an engine like this because the turbo based version winds up being so heavy.

@@carbonEYE007 Its dangerous once I start pushing the RPM and temperatures, the rotor is only turbocharger grade not aerospace , and I'm running >1 Bar higher pressures than design , the compressor is consuming ~500 HP at a 5: 1 pressure ratio , its extremely loud as expected when burning ~9 lpm of fuel and producing "rifle bullet" gas velocities for the 4 lbs/sec of air getting sucked in

Nope , don't intend to complicate it any more than it already is , also the weight penalty might be a disadvantage in its final use .

In one of your videos, the manifolds metal was white hot and you said it wasn't even doing 60%. Pressed harder explosive manifold?

There must be a misunderstanding , the metal is never white hot , maybe yellow/orange , and I can't remember any comment about "60% ", hopefully early next week I'll do the final testrun with the afterburner installed and everything at 100% .....................we'll see if it survives 🙂
